According to Amare's post-game interview on KTAR after the Kings game, one of the main goals for the Suns is having the best record in Suns Franchise History and that requires they win the last 2 games so I doubt we see the starters get less than 30 minutes unless it's a blowout in the Suns favor.

I'm all up for that!

They'll get 2-3 days off anyways before the playoff start.

Do we know yet if they play on Saturday or Sunday?

if we wrap up homecourt and we're more concerned with regular season victories than being completely fresh and raring to go come playoff time then the Suns are retards who really don't appreciate how ultimately meaningless the regular season is.

Does anyone remember who had the best record in the league when we lost to the Bulls? Anyone remember who had the best record in the league during Houston's two title runs? Or how about last year's best record - or how the Wolves set their franchise record?

I love that they are so confident and love the game SO much thatthey want to get the record - I do - but cooler heads should prevail. I on't care what Amare says - there's a reason DA says tongiht is a "must-win" - he wants his guys to get some rest and be as fresh as possible for Saturday or Sunday - whichever day we start and so do I.

Regardless of how stupid some people might think D'Antoni is (Errntknight?), I see no reason at all for us to play our starters on Wednesday big minutes. Besides, most likely Sacramento won't as well -- no Peja at least -- so it's probably going to be seeing a lot of Q, Barbosa, Hunter, Jackson and McCarty, which isn't such a horrible lineup anyway.

I agree - I think Q would be the only starter to get some minutes to try and work him back into playing condition. He's gonna need to shake out of this funk if we're gonna do some serious damage in the playoffs.

And honestly - if anyone still thinks DA doesn't know what he's doing after leading us to the best record in the NBA with one of the youngest teams in the league just has some kind of grudge - guy is a good coach - he's not a Westphaul.

Westphal's team was full of veterans the only youth he had was Person and Dumas.

The worst is when they say that it's just Steve Nash, and D'Antoni had nothing to do with it.

Which to me, raises the question, how many wins would Frank Johnson have gotten out of this team? 50?

everyone expected that team to be very good, if not great - and that team was LOADED with Vets - I don't really see a comparison here - it's not like Westy changed the offensive dynamic of the team from years previous - he just maintained the status quo and let the players do everything else.

westy knew how push buttons, but i don't think anyone would have used the word "revolutionary" or "untraditional" in regards to him as has been done with d'antoni this season. i know i'm one of those that prolly doesn't give coach d enough respect. seems neither of them are real great X & O guys. westy was a good player's coach. he knew his talent and he allowed them to play. d'antoni, on the other hand, had a system concept that has fit our players to perfection. but you know he had to instill it in them. while everyone prolly wants to play in an uptempo system how many players ever played in one as seemingly ridiculous as ours prior to this year? nash came closest w/ the mavs and even they didn't break like we do. i'll bet it wasn't easy at first getting this new notion across to the players. i mean, look at when barbosa is in the game, he's not jetting up the court all the time like little stevie nash and i think it's b/c he's still getting comfortable with a breakneck pace that's somewhat unusual in organized hoops.

I honestly don't remember much about Paul Westphal's coaching, but the situations are very different. Westphal took over a team that had won 50+ games for 5-6 seasons, then to the conference finals a couple times, and had just acquired one of the top five players in the entire league.
