Holders PSG hold off Bayern to set up Arsenal final

Paris Saint-Germain are through to the Champions League final after edging past Bayern Munich 1-1 on the night and 6-5 on aggregate, setting up a showdown with Arsenal in Budapest.

Luis Enrique’s side arrived at the Allianz Arena holding a narrow advantage from a chaotic 5-4 first leg in Paris, and they struck early again to take control of the tie. After just three minutes, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia burst down the left and squared for Ousmane Dembélé, who finished confidently to extend PSG’s lead on aggregate.

Harry Kane finally gave the home crowd hope late on with a composed finish, but with time running out, it was too little, too late.

PSG held firm in the closing stages to seal their place in the final, where they will face Arsenal on 30 May as they aim to retain their European crown.
