Maine Preview:

  • In net, junior Albin Boija has a .899 save percentage in 20 games and freshman Mathis Rousseau has a .897 in 16.

What to Watch For:

  • Honestly, I don’t even know. The last four games have been an absolute bummer after the Eagles had a strong performance against UConn. Scoring seems to have dried up, defense has not been at its best, and the goaltending has been better. The slight hope of non-top six scoring during the senior night game against Northeastern was quickly taken away by the Eagles proceeding to give up four unanswered goals. They’ve been playing unconfident, lackluster hockey the last two weeks and last Friday was no less.
  • Like I said after the UVM blowout – this is when you need a leader on the team to step up to rally the group and remind the Eagles what they are capable of. There is a lot of noise and focus on the Eagles after these last two weeks that has seen them go from being solidly in contention of an at-large bid for the NCAA tournament to outside of the playoff picture. It’s up to them to block out the noise and rally for their last home game of the season.
