Michigan State basketball was simply rolling on Thursday.
No. 3 seed Michigan State made easy work of No. 14 seed North Dakota State en route to a 92-67 victory in the NCAA Tournament first round. The Spartans led for nearly the entire game, with their advantage never dipping below double-digits in the second half.
Michigan State got impressive performances from a number of players, with Carson Cooper (20 points) and Coen Carr (17 points) leading the way in scoring. Jeremy Fears Jr. also dished out 11 assists, and Jaxon Kohler finished with a near double-double (12 points and 9 rebounds) against the Bison.
Michigan State will now move on to face No. 6 seed Louisville in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The Spartans and Cardinals will battle on Saturday, with tipoff scheduled for approximately 2:45 p.m. ET.
