Josh Hokit keeps rolling …
The red-hot Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Heavyweight prospect-turned contender continued his destructive run through the division tonight, stopping Derrick Lewis in the second round at UFC Freedom 250 live on Paramount+ on the South Lawn in Washington, D.C., as UFC celebrated America’s 250th anniversary.
Hokit showed patience in the opening minutes, staying on the outside and chopping at “The Black Beast” with kicks. Then, once he found his opening, “The Incredible Hok” landed a picture-perfect, double-leg takedown and planted Lewis on his back.
From there, Hokit controlled the rest of the round, landing ground-and-pound, while Lewis struggled to get back to his feet. Hokit even locked up an armbar in the final 15 seconds, but Lewis survived to the horn.
Unfortunately for Lewis, he didn’t have much left after that.
In round two, Hokit completely imposed his will on an exhausted Lewis, swarming him with punches until UFC’s knockout king collapsed to the canvas. Hokit jumped on him with follow-up shots, and the referee quickly stepped in to stop the fight.

After the win, Hokit called out Alex Pereirafor what feels like the 700th time.
Hokit (10-0) is now undefeated (4-0) in UFC with three knockout wins and has probably set himself up for a massive Heavyweight eliminator next, especially because of his fighting style, undefeated record and cringe-but-effective persona.
As for Lewis (29-14), he is now riding a two-fight losing streak and has been finished in both losses.
“The Black Beast” still owns the UFC knockout record, but at this point, it is fair to wonder how much longer he wants to keep doing this.
