Colby Covington vs. Dillon Danis squared off earlier tonight (Sat., Mar. 28, 2026) at RAF 07 from inside Yuengling Center of the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. In a whacky matchup between combat sports trolls, Covington was able to dominate Danis en route to a tech fall victory.

This was a strange booking from the start. Danis is a great grappler, but he’s a jiu-jitsu black belt, not a freestyle wrestler. Conversely, Colby Covington was a D-1 All-American wrestler and is well-known for his relentless takedowns. Unsurprisingly, Covington was able to tech fall Danis with a final score of 14-4, as “Chaos” had little trouble taking down or rolling Danis.

Actually, there were surprisingly few goofy antics from Danis. Still, check out the video highlights below:

After the win, Covington is now 2-0 on the RAF mats having manhandled a pair of MMA fighters who are not known for their wrestling. Fortunately, he’s now calling out an MMA fighter with a similar wrestling background to his own: fellow All-American Chris Weidman! There’s also Bo Nickal, who has been beefing with Covington ever since the duo traded barbs at the RAF 05 press conference.

Either way, Covington seems to have found a lane in 2026 competing for RAF … just get him out of the UFC rankings already.
