The Cincinnati Bengals took to the practice fields outside of Paycor Stadium to open up their first day of mandatory minicamp on Tuesday. The Bengals are coming off a third consecutive disappointing season in which they were shut out of the playoffs. Instead of firing people, the front office took some big swings this offseason in hopes of pushing the team back into the postseason.

The addition of Dexter Lawrence represents the biggest of those swings. The Bengals sent their No. 10 overall selection to the Giants in exchange for Lawrence in a move generations of fans have been begging for. They also signed Bryan Cook, Jonathan Allen, Boye Mafe, Kyle Dugger, and re-signed Dalton Risner and Joe Flacco (who hopefully just holds a clipboard this season).

They also had a draft many analysts believe was among the best in the league, which landed them Cashius Howell, Conner Lew and Landon Robinson, among others to be excited about.

Tuesday is the first of three days the team will be in attendance together before they take their five-week summer break that precedes training camp.

Here are some highlights of Tuesday’s action from X:

Joe Burrow stayed well after practice to keep throwing, and by the time he came back to the locker room, it was almost time for a meeting, so his scheduled press conference has been pushed to tomorrow. #Bengals

3. Check out Burrow’s no-look pass to Erick All.
Joe’s leadership qualities have made a big impression on 10-year vet Jonathan Allen.
“You can tell when someone is trying to be a fake leader,” said Allen. “They’re trying to be a leader, but they don’t have natural leadership… pic.twitter.com/mAe9ISYOkj
