Division I

After losing a five-set match to the Oakers earlier this season, the Rams earned quick revenge. La Salle stormed to a triumph in the first set and didn’t look back for a 25-17, 25-21, 26-24 match win.

The Rams seized control of the match with a second-set comeback. Trailing 10-6 in the frame, the Rams knotted the set at 11-all behind the hitting of Jahmir Evans and David Green. But Coventry didn’t go away easily as the visitors led, 21-18, late in the set.

La Salle then showed why it is the defending champions. The Rams scored the final seven points of the match with superb play from Christopher Benell in the middle.

A last-second chance to extend the match to four sets was pushed aside as Evans earned another kill from the outside and Ty Cotta ended the match with an ace.
