The stage is set. The brackets are out.

It's playoff time in Section 1.

Mamaroneck is again the No. 1 seed in Class A and will be going for a three-peat. Yorktown got the top seed in Class B and is attempting to add the program's 43rd sectional crown. Rye landed the No. 1 seed in Class C and will be looking to make a seventh consecutive sectional championship appearance. Pleasantville secured the No. 1 seed in Class D and is going for a third title in four seasons.

Only the Tigers are defending a championship. Greeley won in Class B last season, while Somers celebrated Section 1 and NYSPHSAA titles in Class B and Bronxville claimed the Class D championship.

The next stop for the Section 1 champions is Middletown High School on June 6 for the regional finals against Section 9's best. Hobart & William Smith College will again be hosting the state title games. In order to get there, Section 1 will have to solve the Long Island champions in a NYSPHSAA semifinal on June 11 at Middletown.
