Here are the most valuable NFL teams in 2026, from Cowboys to Jets originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Business is booming in the NFL.
Sportico's updated NFL team valuations for 2026 estimate that the league's 32 franchises are worth a combine $299 billion, with team values rising by 31 percent over the last year — the largest increase since the outlet started the exercise in 2020.
An unsurprising name leads the list, with the Cowboys again dominating the rest of the league in value despite another year without playoff success. Not inside the top 10 is the team that just sold for a record amount, as the Seahawks' $9.612 billion price tag still wasn't quite enough.
Here's a look at the 10 most valuable NFL teams ahead of the 2026 season, according to Sportico.

1. Dallas Cowboys ($15.5 billion)
The Cowboys are the best evidence that franchise value isn't necessarily tied to recent success, as they have been one of the NFL's premier brands for decades despite their last trip to a conference championship coming more than 30 years ago. With the brand still strong and a state-of-the-art stadium, Jerry Jones' franchise is estimated to be worth more than $15 billion.
2. Los Angeles Rams ($12.7 billion)
The value of the Rams continues to skyrocket in Los Angeles, where SoFi Stadium received widespread praise during the World Cup and is preparing to host another Super Bowl. It doesn't hurt that the Rams have become one of the NFL's most successful teams on the field, but Stan Kroenke's goal of making the franchise a destination has been achieved.
3. New York Giants ($12 billion)
Success has been limited for the Giants on the field over the last decade-plus, but the brand is still strong. Simply being associated with a massive hub like New York is a major plus for the Giants, and a history of championships partly gives the team an advantage over its co-resident at MetLife Stadium.

4. New England Patriots ($10.4 billion)
The Patriots built their brand and reputation during the Tom Brady era, but they are holding steady as one of nine teams estimated to be worth at least $10 billion after returning to the Super Bowl last season. Robert Kraft's Patriots brand remains strong, even as Gillette Stadium turns 25 this year.
5. New York Jets ($10.35 billion)
There is no question the Jets have been perhaps the NFL's biggest laughingstock for 15 years now. The buzz that surrounded the franchise before Aaron Rodgers' Achilles tear was an example of their potential as a brand, though. The association with a massive hub like New York is the driving factor behind the Jets' value, but being laughably bad as opposed to just irrelevant has helped keep the number high.

6. Philadelphia Eagles ($10.31 billion)
The Eagles have continued to rise in value under owner Jeffrey Lurie, winning two championships and emerging as the class of the NFC East more often than not over the last decade. Philadelphia is a staple in prime-time and solidly ranks as one of the NFL's biggest brands.

7. Miami Dolphins ($10.25 billion)
Few would think of the Dolphins as a major brand given they haven't won a playoff game in more than a quarter-century. Miami is still Miami, though. While the Marlins have struggled to stick as a brand, the Dolphins were one of the NFL's most successful franchises in the early days of the Super Bowl era and play in a city that loves football.
8. San Francisco 49ers ($10.21 billion)
The 49ers are a perennial contender who recently hosted a Super Bowl and have one of the strongest histories of any NFL franchise. San Francisco has all of the puzzle pieces needed to be a major brand in the NFL, though another Super Bowl win would certainly boost the 'Niners even further up the list.
9. Las Vegas Raiders ($10.1 billion)
The Raiders are struggling to become relevent again on the field, but with a state-of-the-art stadium in Las Vegas and a strong brand that traces its roots to plenty of success early in the Super Bowl era, Mark Davis' team comes in at just above $10 billion.
10. Atlanta Falcons ($9.78 billion)
Success on the field has been fleeting over the last decade, but Arthur Blank runs a tight operation in Atlanta. The Falcons have a stadium that has hosted the Super Bowl and the World Cup, and Atlanta is one of the NFL's biggest markets with plenty of fans hungry for a winning team.
