Bryson Galloway is projected as District 10’s top returning passer for the 2026 football season.

Galloway, a North East senior-to-be, totaled 1,447 yards and 21 touchdowns last fall. His passing yards trailed only the 2,755 for General McLane graduate Matt Caro among northwestern Pennsylvania’s quarterbacks.

Galloway, though, also returns to the Grapepickers as their top returning rusher. He called his own number 105 times for 820 yards and nine scores.

The dual threat helped North East reach the district’s Class 3A semifinals and an overall record of 9-3.

The 2026 ‘Pickers are due to host the rival Harbor Creek Huskies in the teams’ Aug. 28 season opener. Galloway is among the district’s notable returning quarterbacks, who in alphabetical order are as follows:

Noah Carroll, so., Cochranton: Distinguished himself with 1,135 yards, the district’s seventh highest total at season’s end, in his first varsity season behind center.

Christian Dungee, jr., Hickory: The Hornets were Region 4 winners and top-seeded for the district’s Class 3A tournament with the aid of his 919 yards through the air and 14 scores.

Heath Hohman, so., Grove City: Only Carroll had better numbers than his 941 yards and eight TDs as a freshman quarterback in 2025.

Aaron Pegues, sr., Farrell: The son of Steelers coach Amp Pegues recorded 1,384 yards in total offense for the district’s reigning Region 1 victors.

Ryan St. Julien, sr., Girard: Passed or ran for 1,210 total yards on offense for the YellowJackets last fall.

Cael Thurber, sr., Greenville: The Trojans were the district’s Region 2 titlists with help from his 1,180 passing yards and six touchdowns.

Jack Vanchieri, sr., Corry: The backup to Lucas Baker still passed for 745 yards, ran for 149 and totaled 13 TDs for the Beavers.

Dominic Walters, sr., Fort LeBoeuf: Goes into his last year for the Bison off a 2025 season in which he nearly passed (1,108) and ran (904) for 1,000 yards. He also accounted for 13 scores.
