Detroit — Ten Tigers games will be broadcast on free TV during the 2026 season, starting with Friday's Opening Day game, which will be simulcast on Fox 2 in Detroit.
The Tigers on Thursday announced the schedule for their 10 over-the-air broadcasts. All of them are home games:
The over-the-air broadcasts will carry the Detroit SportsNet production, and will air in the following markets: Detroit (Fox 2), Grand Rapids (WXMI or antenna TV), Flint/Saginaw (WNEM or Great Lakes Sports/MeTV), Lansing (WILX or MeTV), Marquette (WLUC NBA or Fox) and Toledo (WTVG ABC or CW).
The Tigers moved to Detroit SportsNet, under the MLB Media umbrella this season, with longtime cable and streaming home FanDuel Sports Network set to shutter at the end of the current NHL and NBA seasons. Detroit SportsNet is available through most major cable companies (on an elevated tier) and via MLB.TV (monthly or annual subscriptions).
Detroit SportsNet is expected to carry more than 140 regular-season Tigers games in 2026, while at least 16 Tigers games will be on national TV, starting with "Sunday Night Baseball" this weekend on Peacock.
