The Seattle Seahawks offseason workout schedule kicked into full gear as they host rookie minicamp on Friday and Saturday this week, and the roster was made public today.

Today and tomorrow, their eight draft picks and seven undrafted free agents will compete with 53 other minicamp invites who are trying out to earn a contract beyond this weekend. This will be the first look at the Seahawks doing anything on-field during the 2026 league year.

Players who didn’t accrue a season last year and haven’t technically appeared in an NFL game yet are also still eligible to participate. The Seahawks included Maxen Hook, Jalan Gaines, Chris Paul Jr., Federico Maranges, Bubba Thomas, J.R. Singleton, Logan Brown, Ricky White III, and Montorie Foster Jr. for that reason. The only one who they could but didn’t is Tyrone Broden, who just switched to cornerback this week.

After subtracting the draft picks, UDFAs, and returners, we’re left with 44 tryout players. It’d be surprising to see more than one or two of them stick around, but it’s the last shot most of them will ever get. They quite literally have no choice but to leave it all on the field to keep their NFL dreams alive.

Mike Macdonald called it “such a great time of year” and said “this is really what kicks it all off” in an introductory press conference last night.

It’s what kicks it off for us here at Seahawks Wire, too! We’ll be breaking down the news about performances here as information comes out.
