Bundesliga club Heidenheim and their veteran goalkeeper Kevin Müller have made peace after a dispute on his new status as second choice following the loan signing Diant Ramaj.

Heidenheim said on Monday that both parties agreed after talks to "look ahead together."

Heidenheim had recently signed their academy product Ramaj on loan from Borussia Dortmund. They said Ramaj would be first choice because Müller was toying with a move to Major League Soccer.

Müller, who had in the past said he could see himself playing in the MLS, had expressed surprise on social media, saying he had no offer from a club in the North American league. His statement had irritated club leaders.

"I was disappointed and subsequently expressed my point of view in my post. It wasn't my intention to create unrest, only to share my opinion," Müller said.

Heidenheim CEO Holger Sanwald said that Müller remains, "also in a changed role, an important factor in the success" of the club.

Heidenheim start the season on Saturday with a German Cup match at fourth division Bahlinger SC.
