Cincinnati Reds prospect Héctor Rodríguez hit for the cycle in the Triple-A Louisville Bats' 20-5 win against the Iowa Cubs.

Rodríguez, who ranks fifth among MLB Pipeline's top Reds prospects, singled in the first inning, homered in the fourth inning, doubled in the fifth inning and tripled in the sixth inning. It was the Bats' first cycle since 2023.

Rodríguez hit three home runs in a game for the Bats in a 10-5 win May 27 against St. Paul.

Elias Sports Bureau reported that only five players have had a cycle and a three-homer game within a two-week span, before Rodríguez: Ted Williams in 1946; Joe DiMaggio in 1948; Jim King in 1964; Adrian Beltre in 2012; and Jose Altuve in 2023.

TJ Friedl added four hits and scored five runs for the Bats.

Rodríguez and pitcher José Acuña came to the Reds in a 2022 trade that sent outfielder Tyler Naquin and minor league pitcher Phillip Diehl to the New York Mets.
