SV Hamburg have released new details concerning the exit of board member for sport Stefan Kuntz on Monday, speaking of allegations of multiple misconduct.

"The misconduct, which was credibly described independently by several tipsters and led to internal investigations, includes numerous serious breaches of duty that would have prompted any responsible supervisory board to take action," a statement from the club's supervisory board said.

Kuntz, 63, had dismissed the allegations in a weekend interview with daily Süddeutsche Zeitung. His lawyer, Christian Schertz said that Kuntz did still not know "what he is concretely suspected of from which person and in which situation."

Monday's statement named this "proven to be not true.

It said the supervisory board offered Kuntz "two dates (December 22/23) for the hearing; Stefan Kuntz and his lawyers did not respond to this."

The board said it "regretted in the interest of all affected persons" that the case was taking place in public.

Hamburg announced on January 2 that former German international Kuntz had left for family reasons. The board then said his departure had to do with misconduct allegations after the Bild paper reported on it.

Hamburg prosecutors said in mid-January that Kuntz had withdrawn a criminal complaint from December on stalking allegations. But the case would be continued to be investigated because it concerned a possible criminal offence liable to public prosecution.
