CLEVELAND — The Guardians (22-15) return home to meet the Philadelphia Phillies (22-15) in a three-game series that starts at 7:10 p.m. Friday, May 9, at Progressive Field.
The Guardians were off May 8, after winning 8-6 at the Washington Nationals on May 7. That finished off a stretch of 22 games in 23 days, with two doubleheaders included. The Guardians compiled a 14-8 record over the stretch that began on April 15 in Baltimore.
The Guardians are 19-9 in their past 28 games after starting the season 3-6 with a nine-game road trip.
