Guardians projected starting lineup after Jo Adell trade

The Cleveland Guardians have been busy at the 2026 MLB trade deadline. After dealing catcher Bo Naylor to the Milwaukee Brewers for a pair of relievers, Cleveland is acquiring outfielder Jo Adell from the Los Angeles Angels, according to The Athletic's Zach Meisel, in exchange for catching prospect Jacob Cozart.

Adell, 27, is batting .239/.287/.395 with 16 home runs and 62 RBI this season, both of which now lead the Guardians. Cleveland has had a rough year offensively, tallying the second-least runs (446) and hits (862) in MLB this season. Jose Ramirez's 30 missed games had a huge impact on that.

While Adell isn't the strongest defender, he'll bring some much-needed pop at the plate for Cleveland as it pushes the Chicago White Sox for the American League Central crown.
