The Hobart-Lawrence Police Department in Wisconsin arrested the 28-year-old on Monday (May 26) on multiple domestic abuse charges following a disturbance complaint last week, according to Action 2 News.
On Saturday (May 23) around 8:30 a.m., police responded to a disturbance complaint involving Jacobs. Following an investigation, authorities arrested Jacobs on Monday and booked him into the Brown County Jail on recommended charges.
Those charges include two felony counts of strangulation and suffocation assault, along with four misdemeanor counts of battery, assault, disorderly conduct, and criminal damage to property.

All of the charges include domestic abuse enhancers and intimidation of a victim, per Action 2 News.
Ian Rapoport, a national insider for NFL Network, shared a statement from Josh Jacobs' attorneys, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld, reading: “Josh vehemently denies the allegations, and this matter is in the early stages of investigation with important evidence that has not yet been made public. We ask for fairness and restraint while the judicial process takes its course.”
Tom Pelissero, another NFL Network insider, shared a statement from a Packers spokesperson: "From a Packers spokesperson: ‘We are aware of the matter involving Josh Jacobs. As it is an ongoing legal situation, we will withhold further comment.’”
"This remains an active and ongoing investigation. No further information will be released at this time," said Michael Renkas, chief of the Hobart-Lawrence PD, in a statement, per ESPN.
