On Sunday night, the Pittsburgh Steelers announced the signing of seven undrafted free agents. This is after the Steelers made seven picks in the 2025 NFL draft. General Manager Omar Khan said the team is better today than it was before the draft and we tend to agree. We especially like a couple of the undrafted free agents the Steelers brought in and they have a real shot to make the final 53-man roster. Here are our grades for the signings.

WR Roc Taylor

We loved Taylor prior to the draft and were shocked he went undrafted. His combination of size and athleticism is rare in the draft paired with his level of college production. Taylor has a solid chance to make the team if he can work on his ability to beat press man and let fewer passes get into his body. Grade - A

DB Sebastian Castro

The Steelers go back to the Iowa Hawkeyes for a third player and Castro is a good one. He's a 6th-year player with experience and maturity, along with an impressive work ethic. Castro could be an ace on special teams. Grade - A

K Ben Sausl

If the Steelers didn't already have the best kicker in the NFL, this signing would be all the more exciting. As it is, Sausl will be the other kicker in camp and should use it as an audition for a job with another team. Grade - B

TE JJ Galbreath

Galbreath is an interesting prospect because Pittsburgh seems to always be searching for more tight ends who can impact the passing game. Galbreath is a great athlete for his size and could put Connor Heyward for reps at training camp. Grade - B

TE/FB DJ Thomas-Jones

The Steelers gave Thomas-Jones the biggest UDFA bonus in franchise history and frankly, we don't know why. He's more fullback than tight end but doesn't really carry the football. Head coach Mike Tomlin called fullbacks dinosaurs, so this one doesn't make a lot of sense. Grade - C

OL Aiden Williams

College tackle who should compete at guard in training camp. Could be a great candidate to stash on the practice squad. Grade - B

WR Ke'Shawn Williams

Hard-working slot prospect who is small but physical. Going to be part of a crowded group and might need to show he can work as a returner and on special teams. Grade - B
