Goodyear Racing to debut new tires at 2026 Brickyard 400

Goodyear announced Tuesday a substantial change to their tires that will debut at the Brickyard 400 in Indianapolis.

All teams will receive new right-side tires, while the left-side will remain the same. Goodyear's designs were intentionally created with the racing surface at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in mind. Different than many intermediate tracks, IMS has straightaways that are long and corners that are more flat than many other tracks.

Indianapolis Motor Speedway's flat corners called for a new right-side Goodyear Racing Eagle for the NASCAR Cup Series.

Goodyear's decision for the change came based off a June test that featured Ross Chastain, Ryan Preece, and John Hunter Nemechek; each representing a different brand of vehicle.

Being the exclusive tire provider of NASCAR, all teams will be impacted by the change. Ahead of the weekend, all teams received 14 sets of tires for the race; 10 of which are specifically for Sunday.
