Las Vegas — The Vegas Golden Knights are one win away from going back to the Stanley Cup Final after rallying from three goals down to defeat the Colorado Avalanche 5-3 in Game 3 of the Western Conference final at T-Mobile Arena on Sunday.

Center Tomas Hertl broke the tie at 8:21 of the third after the Knights trailed 3-0 at the end of the first period.

Captain Mark Stone scored a power-play goal and had the primary assist on Hertl’s goal in his return after missing five games with a lower-body injury.

Center William Karlsson and winger Keegan Kolesar also scored in the second period, and Mitch Marner had two assists.

Goaltender Carter Hart finished with 29 saves, as the Knights lead the best-of-seven series 3-0 over the top team in the league during the regular season.

Game 4 is at T-Mobile Arena on Tuesday, when the Knights will try to advance to the Stanley Cup Final for the third time in their nine-year history.

Colorado was 74-1 all-time in the playoffs when leading by three goals entering Sunday. The Knights were 0-19. The Avalanche were 52-0 when leading by multiple goals at any point this season.
