New York Giants offensive tackle Jermaine Eluemunor has given his first update on what his team’s locker room looks like following the public tiff between Jaxson Dart and Abdul Carter. This past Friday, May 22, Carter called out Dart on his X/Twitter page for attending Rep. Mike Lawler’s campaign rally in Suffern, New York, and introduced President Donald Trump to the crowd.
Since then, narratives have been driven towards the Giants’ team morale, as the public callout may have affected it. But just a day later on Saturday, Eluemunor made a statement on his X/Twitter page that asserts that the New York-based franchise is doing just fine. The 31-year-old did this by reposting NFL reporter Ben Volin’s post and told him to focus on covering the New England Patriots.
The Giants, including head coach John Harbaugh, have not publicly said anything on the matter. But with New York fans and spectators seemingly anxious about the team’s morale possibly diminishing, Eluemunor’s post can at least give them a sigh of relief. After all, Carter has since posted once again on X/Twitter to clear the air and share that he and Dart have patched things up privately.
Coach John Harbaugh Recently Spoke About Jaxson Dart’s Leadership
Coach John Harbaugh recently had a press conference with the media and was asked about how Jaxson Dart is handling himself as a leader to a team that is instilling a new culture. With a new coach, new and old teammates, and a new system, Harbaugh wants Dart to take it in the process gradually. Given the Dart and Abdul Carter matter, it is possible that Dart did handle it privately and seamlessly.
“I definitely think it’s a process, for sure. You know, you got to get used to each other, and that’s why you want to go fast because if you’re not moving out there fast, how do you get accustomed to it? So, that’s why you want to push it into him as much as you can, to be as much game speed as much as you possibly can. But again, it’s a dress rehearsal. It’s not the game,” Harbaugh said. (4:22)
