Incoming New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh is bringing a new enthusiasm to the long-dormant NFL flagship franchise.

The Giants will no longer be a group of autonomous players mingling around the facility and on the field going forward. Harbaugh will have them focused and has introduced several new mottos for the players, coaches, and others around the building to embrace.

These are very similar themes to the ones Tom Coughlin, the last coach to take the Giants to a Super Bowl, deployed during his 12-year tenure with the club.

In 2007, Coughlin urged the team to "finish" and had T-shirts printed up saying, "Talk is cheap, play the game." The Giants went on to defeat the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII that season.

In 2011, the Giants adopted a new motto: "All-in," inspired by a speech by Gian Paul Gonzalez, a local teacher and motivational speaker, who handed out poker chips bearing the slogan. The Giants went on a run afterward, which concluded with another Super Bowl victory over New England.

Harbaugh hopes his Giants follow in those same footsteps.
