Add one bizarre injury to the San Francisco Giants season.
\n
Harrison Bader was headed to Indianapolis to meet with a foot and ankle specialist for his left plantar fasciitis that sidelined him for two months on Monday, but ran into a bit of trouble late-Saturday, early-Sunday morning.
\n
Bader, 32, was involved in a scooter accident in San Francisco, the team announced, which further injured the outfielder's sore left foot. He will have an MRI "to better understand the severity of the injuries sustained from the scooter accident," the Giants said.
\n
Bader still made it to Indianapolis to meet the specialist on Monday, but the accident complicated the meeting.
\n
"Reached out to him, asked him if he was OK. Obviously he's not better than he was prior to that," manager Tony Vitello said. "It's going to delay the recovery process for him, but even prior to it, you're looking at a pretty frustrating long runway."

Vitello did not know if Bader was sent to the hospital after the accident.
\n
Bader's time with the Giants has been full of injuries. He missed time earlier this year with a hamstring strain and has been out since May 30 with plantar fasciitis.
