The Giants' most valued offensive lineman is dealing with a new injury, as star left tackle Andrew Thomas suffered a hamstring issue early in the second quarter of Sunday's game against the Vikings.

While initially listed as questionable to return, the Giants ruled out Thomas early in the third quarter, trailing 13-10.

Thomas' leg appeared to tighten up on a 2nd-and-10 run play inside the red zone, with 11:58 remaining in the second.

After spending a few moments down on the turf and walking gingerly off the field with trainers, Marcus Mbow took over in Thomas' place.

There was no reason for the Giants -- already eliminated from playoff contention -- to push Thomas back into action. The six-year veteran spent the past offseason working back from a foot injury that required season-ending surgery in October 2024.
