The Milwaukee Bucks' trade of Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Miami Heat has brought out all sorts of emotions for fans.
For many, it feels like they lost their hero who was with them for 13 years and brought them so much joy as they watched him grow up from a teenager into a father, husband and NBA champion.
Now he's gone – at least from Milwaukee.
In response, people are showing their appreciation and paying tribute to one of the greatest athletes in Wisconsin sports history by placing mementos at one of the most visible pieces of art of Antetokounmpo in the state.
The Greek Freak sees it. And he has a message for everyone doing this or feeling this way.
"People I'm still alive," Antetokounmpo wrote in the comments of Spectrum News 1's Instagram Reels that showcased all the Giannis-centric items at the bottom of the downtown Milwaukee Giannis mural.
