Yet again, the Milwaukee Bucks have exited the NBA playoffs in the first round, and as was the case last year, they have been knocked out by the Indiana Pacers.
The Pacers got it done on Tuesday by notching a 119-118 overtime win in Game 5 of the series. Guard Tyrese Haliburton scored the game-winning layup with 1.3 seconds left in the extra period to send the Bucks home for the summer.
Giannis Antetokounmpo did just about everything he could on Tuesday to extend Milwaukee's season. He scored 30 points, grabbed 20 rebounds and dished off 13 assists while also adding two steals and two blocked shots.
That stat line made him the first player to post a 30/20/10 stat line when facing elimination in a playoff game.
The burden was squarely on Antetokounmpo to keep the Bucks alive after star guard Damian Lillard exited Game 4 with a torn Achilles after missing Game 1 and the late portion of the regular season with a blood clot.
Milwaukee took a 118-111 lead with 40 seconds remaining in overtime, but Indiana surged afterward, and Milwaukee couldn't do anything about it.

Now the speculation will likely begin on Antetokounmpo's future. There have been whispers that he could possibly ask out after two fruitless seasons with Lillard, a nine-time All-Star and one of the game's deadliest clutch players, by his side.
The Bucks had won the NBA championship in 2021, but they have now exited the playoffs in the first round three years in a row. Antetokounmpo can opt out of his contract in the summer of 2027, and in the meantime, the Bucks have an aging and thinning roster with limited trade assets.
