Turning point: Tristan Amonte scored the game-winning goal at 6:01 of overtime, lifting the Savannah Ghost Pirates past the Jacksonville Icemen 2-1 in ECHL hockey on Feb. 14 at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.
Three stars: 1. Noah Giesbrecht, Savannah (39 saves). 2. Amonte, Savannah (one goal). 3. Lincoln Griffin, Jacksonville (one goal).
Penalty box: Savannah (23-19-3-1) took the lead on a 5-on-3 power play when Reece Vitelli scored midway through the first period, with Jacksonville's Patrick Bajkov serving a too-many-men bench minor and T.J. Friedmann also in the box for hooking.
Around the rink: Griffin scored for Jacksonville (19-23-4-0) to force overtime with 1:50 to go, after the Icemen had lifted goaltender Cameron Rowe for the extra skater. … Rowe made 20 saves on the night. … The Icemen couldn't build momentum from their 3-0 victory over the Ghost Pirates on Feb. 13, which included a 43-save shutout from goaltender Michael Bullion, two scores from Garrett Van Wyhe and a first Icemen goal for Jaden Condotta.
