Bayern Munich is enjoying the fruits of Luis Diaz, being one of the rare occasions that a staggering transfer fee (in Diaz’s case, 75 million euros) was a great investment. It’s all coming back to Bayern, though, as a specific fanbase is showing their support for the club.

Abendzeitung journo Kilian Kreitmair (as captured by X account @iMiaSanMia) reported that Bayern has seen a staggering 400% increase in shirt orders from Colombia since the transfer of Luis Díaz. Visitor numbers to the club’s online shop in the country has risen by 200%. This puts Díaz among the top five Bayern players globally in terms of shirt sales this season. Colombia is currently FC Bayern’s fastest-growing market. The club is leveraging this enormous marketing potential, with the winger being used as a brand ambassador, particularly on the club’s Spanish speaking channels.
