The world is now just two weeks away from kicking off the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy.
As the venues rush to put the finishing touches on their spaces, wives prepare to go head-to-head on opposing teams and the Bahamas hopes for a "Cool Runnings" repeat, Team USA is choosing which athletes will represent the country.
For one Douglasville native, this is something she's experienced four times before.
On Monday, the USA Bobsled and Skeleton team announced four-time Olympian and multi-medal winner Elana Meyers Taylor was chosen as a pilot for the women's bobsled team.
Taylor competed in the 2010, 2014, 2018 and 2022 winter Olympic games, where she won three silver medals and two bronze medals.
It makes her the most decorated Black winter Olympian.
