The Georgia Bulldogs have landed a commitment from Alabama A&M Bulldogs transfer offensive tackle TyQuez Richardson. Richardson played high school football for May High School in Atlanta, Georgia.

The 6-foot-5, 330-pound redshirt freshman will help build up Georgia's offensive line depth. The Bulldogs lost starters Monroe Freeling and Micah Morris to the 2026 NFL draft. Additionally, four Georgia offensive linemen entered the transfer portal this offseason.

247Sports has Richardson as an unranked transfer. He was an unranked recruit coming out of high school.

At Alabama A&M, Richardson started 12 games in 2025. He played left tackle and could compete for Georgia's starting left tackle role, but going from the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) to the SEC is a big jump.

Richardson's addition helps ease the pain from Georgia losing both Bo Hughley and Jamal Meriweather to the portal. Both Hughley and Meriweather were positioned to compete for starting roles.

Richardson appears to be joining Georgia as a walk-on. Despite starting 12 games, Richardson did not earn All-SWAC honors in 2025.
