The Georgia Bulldogs lost 102-77 to the Saint Louis Billikens in the first-round of the NCAA Tournament. The loss marker Georgia's second straight season that ended in a disastrous performance in March Madness.

Saint Louis controlled the game from the start and even built up a 40-point lead at one point. The Billikens outclassed Georgia in pretty much every facet of the game. Saint Louis was especially dominant in the paint, where the Billikens outscored the Bulldogs by 38 points. Saint Louis also crushed Georgia on the glass, outrebounding Georgia 47-36.

"We didn't play hard at all," Georgia basketball star Jeremiah Wilkinson said after the game. Wilkinson scored 30 points in the defeat, but it was too little, too later.

"Turnovers, we're not getting back. And, you know, I'm guilty of it a couple of times too, but as a team, they got out and ran on us. And we couldn't get rebounds, and they went and got rebounds. We were the bigger team today, so we have no excuse for that. We were probably the more athletic team, so there's no excuse for what happened today."

Saint Louis simply did a better job of executing and playing their style of basketball. Georgia has faced strong SEC teams and several tough nonconference opponents, but nobody embarrassed Georgia like this. After the game, many Georgia basketball fans were upset with the showing.
