A potential first-round pick from the Georgia Bulldogs will no longer be attending the 2025 NFL draft. Edge rusher Mykel Williams, who originally accepted the invitation to go to the draft in Green Bay, will no longer be in attendance for the draft, according to NBC Sports. Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart has also taken his name off the list of draft attendees.

It's an interesting choice for Williams, who many are mocking to be a first-round pick. He could just be watching the draft with his family. Through three seasons with the Georgia Bulldogs, Williams earned 14 career sacks.

After totaling 4.5 sacks each of the past two years, Williams earned five sacks in 2024 despite missing two games due to an ankle injury. Williams cites the ankle injury as the reason he didn't test at the NFL combine either.

Teams like the Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints, and Arizona Cardinals already met with him, and there is reason to believe he'll be an early to mid first-round pick, despite the depth of the class' edge rushers. Georgia safety Malaki Starks is expected to be the only Georgia player in attendance at the draft.
