The Georgia Bulldogs will face the Ole Miss Rebels in the second round of the SEC Tournament after having a bye in the opening round.

The Dawgs enter the matchup following three consecutive wins to end the regular season. Georgia has been electrifying on the offensive end of the floor this year, as the Dawgs currently lead the country in fast break points at 20.0 points per game. The Bulldogs are ranked as the No. 3 overall scoring offense in the nation (90.4 points per game), as the Dawgs will look to stay red hot throughout both the SEC and NCAA Tournament moving forward.

Georgia has won five of its last six games entering the SEC Tournament and is hoping to continue that streak into March Madness. Georgia could emerge as a sleeper candidate to win the SEC Tournament.

The No. 8 seed Dawgs will face an underwhelming opponent on Thursday night in No. 15 seed Ole Miss, as Georgia would advance for a rematch with Alabama on Friday should the Dawgs defeat the Rebels.

Georgia is ranked as the No. 2 team in the country in blocks (6.2 per game) this season as well, as the Dawgs have truly dominated in many aspects of the game throughout the season. Georgia All-SEC defensive team center Somto Cyril leads Georgia with 2.4 blocks per game, which helps fuel Georgia in transition.

Georgia currently finds themselves projected as a No. 8 seed in the NCAA Tournament later this month, but a strong run during the SEC Tournament could catapult the Dawgs to a higher seed. The Georgia-Ole Miss game will be played on Thursday, March 12 at 7:00 p.m. ET at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville (televised on SEC Network).
