The streak continues.

Gary Woodland's inspiring victory at the Texas Children's Houston Open marks the fifth consecutive PGA Tour event captured by a Palm Beach County resident. Woodland's 21-under 259 led to his first win in seven years and first since undergoing brain surgery in 2023 to remove a benign tumor. The Delray Beach resident's last victory was the 2019 U.S. Open

The Houston Open was the first of two events in Texas before the Masters, and the first following the Florida Swing, which was swept by Palm Beach County residents.

The Florida Swing started with Palm Beach Gardens' Nico Echavarria winning the Cognizant Classic in the Palm Beaches, Jupiter's Akshay Bhatia finishing on top at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Palm Beach Gardens' Cameron Young capturing The Players and North Palm Beach's Matt Fitzpatrick taking home the trophy at the Valspar Championship.

Rickie Fowler has best odds of winning Valero Texas Open

Up next is the Valero Texas Open. None of the top 10 favorites reside in Palm Beach County. The area golfer with the best odds of winning is Jupiter's Rickie Fowler.

Area golfers also in the field include Tequesta's Alex Noren, Jupiter's Daniel Berger and Palm Beach Gardens' Marco Penge.
