It worked out OK today, but I wish we wouldn't bat Marte leadoff with that
power. The same with Jones.
Not when Dyson or Locastro, two classic leadoff hitters, are in the lineup.
When Peralta is back, Dyson's platoon vs. LHP in CF should be Locastro
rather than Marte moving from 2B.
Look at who is leading the team in On Base Percentage by a lot. And who
is second (because he hits in front of the pitcher). Marte is 8th on the
current roster. Jones is 10th. They should not be leadoff hitters.
Vargas, along with Walker, is very low on the list. Vargas should be just
a solid bench player.
