Tickets for Game 3 on Monday of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden were released for sale on Sunday. Despite each costing upward of $2,000 there was a buying frenzy.
The amount of tickets sold were 550. This has taken buying to a new level for any type of event, sports, concert you name it. And it is only going to see prices rise if the Knicks are able to win and grab a 3-0 lead.
Thanks to the Ticketmaster.com site, people were able to painfully watch their place in the waiting room. If you were listed as deeper than 500, you were out of luck. As you can see by these posts, there were many more out of luck than those who scored those pricey tickets.
Now the only question is whether they ended up in the hands of fans or people looking to make a huge score on the secondary market.
Attending Game 3 won't be easy for anyone. Because President Donald Trump will be in attendance, the Knicks and MSG have suggested people arrive two hours before the 8:30 p.m. tip-off.

Knicks fans: Get ready for a strict no-bag policy, TSA-style screening, and showing up 2 HOURS early for Game 3 at MSG.
All because one selfish clown wants to attend and turn basketball into his personal security circus.
His “winning” is our inconvenience. #NBAfinalspic.twitter.com/09D4MLTxob

You have a better chance of getting to see the Knicks play in the Finals by spinning the BAXUS vending machine than you do by waiting for 574,132 other people to buy 500 available tickets on ticketmaster.https://t.co/7MCx1Y8GyBpic.twitter.com/Lr19IUtVgl

Hi @NYCMayor Mamdani: After 2 hours since tickets dropped, there are still 447003 people in the Ticketmaster queue for the Monday Knicks game, so I wondered if you had a spare seat in your box for a former UN peacekeeper resident. I will manage to bring a couple of Syrian… https://t.co/rl7GhVqXojpic.twitter.com/HJklgouSFu
