Well we don't have a hot chick to throw as a sacrifice to these guys who are 6 levels better than us.

DBQ/Superspck...check out this team and their offense...

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=117275&pbp_id=4765081

These guys run their entire offense out of a goal line formation (3 TEs) from all over the field. They have OTs and Centers at TE and blocking TEs at WR so that they can get to the perimeter.

They run from the trips formation - 3 WRs -(primarily to the left). Also, when they pass out of the Trips formation, almost 90% of the time they throw to their #3 slot WR, who's a level 17 (in a capped league so consider the talent level).

In short these guys have been run and a cloud of dust - then they throw to their slot guy out of the trips formation.

Most of their passing is long, never short, sometimes medium.

What do you guys think of going ala "joe gibbs" and put something similar where we run nothing but goalline offense?

I know we don't have the same personal...but I think it's worth a look to see if we can shake things up - just for this team.

My idea is that we could cause some mismatches and eat the clock.

My crazy idea about the "D" will be tomorrow.

Ken -

What do you think if we switch FS and SS positions on the depth chart and have Plenty OfRange play a 4-3 Strong shift run focus, Cover 0, SS blitz?

We know their oline is gonna open up holes and pick up our LB's...maybe having the SS shoot the gaps might be enough to slow things down.

Yes - I know we're over committing on the run....but its no secret their gonna try to pound us like they did the bulldogs in their last game (where they racked up 394 yards).

I like it!

Did you want to make the change, or should I?

I got back this GLB pm from that teams OC...I checked the Kracken's depth chart and they have only 3 DT's...granted 2 are level 17.

But maybe we can use this plan in the 1st and 3rd quarter to "tire" them out?

No. Goal line offense is 100% running inside.

The main reason of using the goal line offense is to attack their depth at DT. If they use the standard Goal Line Defense to counter your offense, they have to field 4 DTs at a time.

That tires out a defense pretty quickly. We also use it because we count on having advantages in strength across the line to get an initial push (our C and RG have 90+ strength, for instance).

When we tried to use it against a NT/LDE that outleveled us, it failed pretty miserably (albeit mostly against our depth). Still, it has its uses. It can really throw a 3-4 off its game, for instance.

The real use of using TEs as WRs is to make the pitch play more effective, but again, there are situational considerations that would make you more or less inclined to go that route.

Speaking of "Asia"...

This is our league median compared to the other capped leagues....freakin Asia was my second choice. :bang:

Eastern Europe
A1 - lvl 14 <---- We're here.
A2 to A7 - lvl 13
A8 - lvl 12

Oceania
A1 - lvl 12
South America
A1 - lvl 14
South East Asia
A1 - lvl 12

And "no" I didn't crunch those numbers.

Yeah Borts thread slipped somewhere - I can't find it either.

You can come up with a "mean avg." by searching for all players in sorted order for a league.

Then go to the middle page and see the level of players.

Game Plan

Here are the settings for everyone - we got back to back games against the top 2 in our division - so I'm not expecting miracles.

You must be registered for see images

All players train (relax min.) - even if yer not 100% in energy by game time.

In this game all players should play on "normal" max...again to get our energy back quicker.

All offensive players stay with the previous settings. Wideouts - put on yer stickem fer the game.
