Gvardiol: There’s still so much to achieve here at City ​

Gvardiol, nicknamed The Croatian Wall, joined us from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2023 having already forged a reputation as one of the most naturally talented young defenders in Europe.

And he’s already justified that moniker with tough tackling, brilliant reading of the game, aerial expertise as well as attacking intent too which has produced 13 goals – not bad for a centre-half!

Most importantly, he’s already enjoyed a trophy-laden spell at the Club having won six major honours, including the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup and Community Shield.

But that journey is now set to continue after penning a fresh five-year deal today to take him through to 2031.
