Pick the positions the Cards should draft in the order in which they should select them. You don’t have to pick all seven rounds. Feel free to add comments if you wish.

QB, C, WR, G, DL

I know RT is an obvious omission. I’d go free agency for that spot. I want experience.

For rd 2... generic OL for me. I would take OT if a guy slipped from the first round. Otherwise IOL... I'm thinking we need all three spots..but not in one draft. But Frodo has slipped this season...and before Big Will got hurt we all wanted to upgrade LG..but Adams was so bad we forgot LG was a need...and I would start looking for Hernandez replacement. He may have 5 years left ...but with Big Men, knees, and a year off...I wouldn't count on him being the same Big Will for 5 more seasons...
Third round seems like a good spot to find a WR to push Wilson and improve wr2 and wr3 at the same time...
Late round big men are always a good investment on both sides of the ball

Love this thought exercise, Harry!

Not sure if we have all our picks, and this is leaving out FA, but the OL needs a ton of improvement. I like taking gambles on late-round QBs, ala the Packers of old.

Seems like a weak QB class (too early to know for sure & are we drafting high enough for one) but we may be with a bridge QB for a year before we target someone we like. If we take a QB at ~10 it could be a less than ideal prospect.

Another thought is to target a starting QB that’s moving on from another team. IDK who that is - Purdy? Stroud? Burrow? Daniel Jones? Who’s the modern day Carson Palmer? Regardless, our offense needs work.

If top 5, then QB becomes the target in round 1.

if not, then Im not reaching for the 4th QB in a mid QB draft year. Thats how you get Josh Rosen.

then:

OT: whomever is QB, having two good OTs makes everything else easier
RB: Connor might be done. Benson hasnt shown he can stay healthy. At the top half of Rd 2 -- you can get a really good one.
WR: Speed specialist.
ILb; We will see on Simon if this is really needed.
S: Budda wont be around forever
DT: an anchor run stuffer would be good

RT is #1 with the early read on QBs being meh. WR, IOL, RB (if JC doesn't or can't come back). QB if the right guy is there at any point in any round.

Yeah but the 4th QB that year could have been Lamar Jackson. It all depends on the clowns in the front office and ownership.
