Fulham have joined the race to sign West Ham United winger Crysencio Summerville, aiming to capitalise on the Hammers’ recent relegation from the Premier League despite the efforts of Nuno Espirito Santo. The ‘incredible’ 24-year-old is widely expected to depart the London Stadium this summer, sparking fierce competition for his signature across the top flight. While Manchester United have opened exploratory talks for the winger, reports indicate that a move to an ambitious, established side outside the traditional elite may be more realistic. Fulham have identified Summerville as a priority target to strengthen their wide options, especially with Harry Wilson set to complete a free transfer to Leeds United. Under incoming manager Alvaro Arbeloa, the Craven Cottage hierarchy is keen to add dynamic attacking depth, and the Dutch international fits the profile perfectly.

Summerville’s reputation has grown significantly following an impressive summer at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America. Summerville’s international form mirrored a resilient domestic campaign. Although West Ham ultimately suffered relegation, he stood out as one of their most influential performers.

He hit form after Christmas, scoring seven goals in a 10-game spell that briefly reignited the Hammers’ survival hopes. Overall, he finished the demanding season with seven goals and three assists in all competitions. West Ham’s hierarchy have accepted that retaining the former Leeds United star in the Championship is unrealistic. Having already approved an £85 million move for midfielder Mateus Fernandes to Tottenham, the East London club are determined to command a premium for Summerville.
