Chase Williams is entering the transfer portal after two seasons with the FSU Seminoles, he announced on Instagram.
Williams spent two seasons with Florida State after transferring in from Northwest Florida ahead of the 2025 season. He played in 69 games for the Seminoles, making 63 starts with most of his action coming in left field but seeing some action in center.
He hit .294 with two home runs, 11 doubles, three triples, 45 runs scored, and 32 RBI. The speedster stole 33 bases over the two seasons. He had a .377 on-base percentage and drew 30 walks, striking out 72 times.
Williams was at his best during the 2025 season, hitting .342 with a .474 slugging percentage in 114 at-bats with 20 RBI. He missed time in the season with a shoulder injury, but battled through it at the end of the season. That injury limited his offseason, and he was never able to get going in the 2026 season, though he did continue to play excellent defense.
He is one of four FSU players to announce they are entering the transfer portal and the first outfielder. Pitcher Manny Lantigua and infielders Kelvyn Paulino Jr. and Noah Sheffield have also shared their plans to transfer.
