Kool-aider here. If (and it's a big IF) Kevin Minter is able to play, we'll be okay AGAINST the run. He, along with CC, Rucker and Shaughnessy will do the job. It's the pass defense that worries me. While our defensive backfield is loaded, so far in the PS we haven't been able to generate much of a pass rush. John Abraham should help, but I'm guessing a four game suspension, and it might take that long to get him into football shape. PP, AC, HB will earn their salaries in the meantime. And Todd Bowles will earn his, also.

i can have a pectoral problem but doesnt mean is a torn pectoral.
anyway minter didnt make a single tackle during a regular season,,so at now he just a project with injuries history

The Patriots lost their veteran interior defensive linemen (Tommy Kelly and Vince Wilfork) last season. Their run defense was awful for a few weeks until they made adjustments.

You can't replace a great player, but you adapt and play on.

You can't replace a great player, but you adapt and play on.

This. Obviously D will suffer a little and won't be as good as it could be. But these coaches and players are smart. They learn to adapt and fill new voids and roles after some exposure.
