WATERTOWN — Teams from Harrisburg, Yankton, Brandon and Jackson (MN) captured division championships in the Watertown Fastpitch Softball Association's 2026 Premier Throwdown tournament held Friday through Sunday, June 26-28 at Koch Complex.
The tournament featured 45 teams including 10 in the 10-and-under division, 12 in 12-and-under, eight in 14-and-under and 15 in 16/18-and-under.
Teams played three pool-play games and then were placed in gold and silver brackets for single-elimination tournament play on Sunday.
Seven Watertown teams competed in the tourney. Local teams included Watertown Storm 10U and Watertown Impact in 10-and-under; Watertown Storm 11U and Watertown Storm 12U in 12-and-under; Kaos in 14-and-under; and Watertown Force and Wildfire in 16/18-and-under.
It was the 10th edition of the tournament, which started in 2017.
Here are the highlights by division:
The TSC Cyclones of Harrisburg defeated the Yankton Lakers 8-3 to win the gold bracket championship. The Cyclones went 3-0 in pool play and then won two games in bracket play to take the title.
The Sanford Sports 10U Red of Sioux Falls rolled past the Brookings Outlaws 17-3 to win the silver bracket or consolation championship.

The Yankton Lakers also closed out a 5-0 tournament (3-0 pool play, 2-0 bracket play) by posting a 3-1 win over Fusion Heat 12U of Harrisburg in the gold bracket championship.
The Brandon Valley Blitz 12U Olson team took the silver bracket championship with a 12-9 win over the Brookings Outlaws 121 Red.
The Minnesota Havoc posted a 9-7 win over the Fargo-Moorhead (ND) Blaze White in the gold division championship. The Havoc also went 3-0 in pool play before adding two more wins in bracket play.
The Kaos of Watertown advanced to the silver division championship before falling 8-1 to the Fargo-Moorhead Blaze Orange.
Two Brandon Valley teams met in the gold division championship where the Brandon Valley Blitz 16U Bergan posted a 2-1 win over the Brandon Valley Blitz 15U Belben. Anna Bergan's walk-off sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fifth provided the difference for the champions, coached by Webster native Shawn Bergan.
The Wildfire of Watertown advanced to the silver division championship before losing to the Sanford Sports Softball 16U White 9-3.
