I think he is a great player, I am not bothered by his alleged character concerns for a guy who plays ILB, and the concussion thing does not even bother me... but I just can't overcome my apprehension of drafting a Bama player where their solid cohesive talent level tends to make all their players look like studs and then they get to the NFL and most seem to wash out

No, they said that was due to a technique issue which he has cleaned up.

I don't really see this. They get a bunch of players taken high, so they will have more busts than most organizations, but I don't see the high bust rate. the special players tend to be special. Marcel Dareus is a special player with other issues. Hightower is a very good player. The LB Baltimore drafted has been very good. Landon Collins has been good. Julio Jones has been special. Dre Kirkpatrick has been a good player. McClain had other issues.

I think Foster is going to be a special player, and we would lucky to have him on our roster.

Ok -- i love the guy as a player, but this made me say "hmmmmmmmm...."

usually with college coaches, its all sunshine and rainbows when they talk about their players -- for Saban to say this is really something (in fairness, in the above link, there are lots of positive things Saban says about Foster)..

Concussion issue appears safely resolved. I asked & heard came back clean.

If he struggled with X&Os his play never reflected it.

As to the combine issue, not only don't I think it hurt I'm, it may have helped him. Think about the most successful ILBs. They're often hostile and brutish. From Nietzsche & Butkus to Lewis & Kuechly ILBs are a different kind of player. Foster's attitude won't deter teams IMO.

I said the same thing about his character concerns, and you can throw in Lawrence Taylor... you have to be a little psycho and hyper to play the position lol

Saw an article that said "a club with a top 15 pick has taken him off their board". That makes me think it's a team picking 11-15 otherwise they would say top 10 pick. So it could very well be the Cardinals...who are probably tired of immaturity after the Floyd debacle and Humphries/Nkemdiche with their work ethic/immaturity.

Either way, I'm not a big Foster fan like a lot of people on this board. He's not the next Luke Keuchly.

Maybe, but take everything you hear or read with a grain of salt. If I were a team that was interested in him in the 11 to 15 range I would say he's of my board too, hoping all along he falls to me.

What I do not question about Foster is his will and ability to be a great player. But, he's had to change the way he tackles because of the concussion issues and now is recovering from shoulder surgery. His mind will be willing, but will his body?

The other potential red flag was that coaches who have interviewed him say that he fumbles through X and O's questions and terminologies. If there Cardinals drafted him, he would be playing Minter's spot and Minter called all the plays in the huddle.

I think it will be Buc that is calling the D from now on, but I would not be surprised if the Honey Badger does it.

Even Saban said he's gonna need a support system around him suggesting he might not be mature enough to handle it
