Former Xavier big man Lassina Traore will follow Sean Miller to Austin, Texas.

According to Travis Branham of 247Sports, Traore has committed to Texas.

Traore never appeared in a game for the Musketeers. The 6-foot-10 center suffered a season-ending knee injury during an intrasquad scrimmage at Cintas Center Oct. 9.

After playing in 19 games as a freshman at St. Louis, Traore averaged a double-double per game (12.4 points, 10.4 rebounds) over two seasons at Long Beach State before transferring to Xavier in April 2024.

Traore was the sixth and final Musketeer to enter the transfer portal on April 6. He is the second former Xavier player to enter the portal and follow Miller to Texas, joining combo guard Dailyn Swain.

Xavier's six players to leave through the portal after last season have all found a new college program: Traore (Texas), Swain (Texas), Ryan Conwell (Louisville), Trey Green (St. Louis), John Hugley IV (Duquesne), Cam Fletcher (High Point).
