It's officially Super Bowl week. On Sunday, February 8 at 6:30 p.m. ET, the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks will battle for professional football's top prize.

New England features a young, talented team with immense chemistry led by former UNC quarterback Drake Maye, an NFL MVP frontrunner. Seattle features a lockdown defense, plus a resurgent Sam Darnold at quarterback.

The Seahawks, who won the NFC West, will get a key special-teamer back for their Super Bowl roster. Seattle activated Chazz Surratt, who split his 4-year career at North Carolina (2017-2020) between quarterback and linebacker, off injured reserve on Tuesday afternoon.

Surratt played in 11 regular-season games for the Seahawks, totaling 11 tackles (seven assisted, four solo). Sure, those numbers don't jump out to you, but special teams players make or break postseason outcomes.

Surratt spent his first three NFL seasons with the New York Jets, also playing primarily on special teams. Now on a winning roster, Surratt has a chance to compete for NFL glory, a shot most players fail to achieve.

Surratt started his Tar Heel career as a redshirt freshman quarterback, showcasing a dual-threat ability with eight passing touchdowns and five more on the ground. Surratt ended his time in Chapel Hill as a First Team All-ACC linebacker, Butkus Award semifinalist and UNC's defensive MVP.

Seattle's defense is extremely deep, anchored by Ernest Jones and Devon Witherspoon, but Surratt should also get a few snaps outside of special teams. Who knows, maybe he'll make a game-changing play like an interception, forcing a fumble or sacking Maye?
