Former North Carolina Tar Heels' standout Armando Bacot had a long, successful career with the program and now he's got a new home to continue his basketball career.

After a stint in the NBA G-League the past season, Bacot is now headed overseas. The center reached a deal with Fenerbahce in Turkey. The deal is for one year and is worth over $1M.

Bacot spent last season with the Memphis Hustle and averaged 18.2 points, 9.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game with the team. There was a previous report that he would stay in the G-League and try to earn a new deal but instead, he goes overseas.

Bacot's career at North Carolina lasted five years as he helped lead the Tar Heels to the Final Four and the national championship game in 2022. In those five years, he averaged 13.9 points, 10.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.

His journey to the NBA isn't completely over despite going overseas. It's likely that scouts will have their eyes on Bacot overseas to keep track of how he's doing. Hopefully he plays well and can earn another deal here to continue his career.
