While the Dallas Stars reel from their Game 1 loss to the Avalanche, a former fan-favorite kicked off his playoff debut with a bang. Former Stars center Logan Stankhoven was traded back in March, and has been a welcomed addition thus far in Carolina.
Former Stars center man Logan Stankhoven might be making Dallas fans wonder right now what might have been after his making his postseason debut for the Carolina Hurricanes. The 22-yr old forward notched two goals to propel the Canes over the New Jersey Devils. Stankhoven was sent to Carolina on March 7th along with three draft picks in exchange for Mikko Rantanen. Through 83 games with Dallas, Stankhoven has tallied 43 points with 15 goals. Since moving to Carolina, the young third-year forward has scored nine points in 19 games.
The Stars will aim to bounce back on Monday night as Dallas will take the ice for Game 2. Dallas suffered a 5-1 defeat at the hands of the Avalanche on Saturday, and will look to even the series before it heads back to Colorado.
